Tweaking the troughs

Previously I roughly mated he half inch supply line into the unit. Today it’s time for a little tweaking

We’ll start here with the rough look.

The pipe looks as though it will be grinding between the cover and the troughs.

It looks like the pipe will be running at about a ten degree angle and will only intersect the top channel of each set.

So the first step is to clear the way for the supply pipe. Ideally the pipe will be clear of he side of he case by about an eighth of an inch. I can cut out a space for the supply pipe.

Once the hole is cleared out I need to iron out the transfer from channel to channel.

And this is what it came out to be. The top channel of each set will have this cut out and hold the supply pipe out of the way of the lid.

The last step for this post is to add in the flow downs to the lower troughs. For these a simple 1/4″ hole will suffice.

Until next time.
