Mapping to sheet

Here we are at the mapping phase of the boxes that will be housing the unit. For this step, I looked high and low for a sheet wood mapping program that didn’t want to drain my wallet. In the end I found one called CutList DelphiforFun.  If you need it you can find it Here

The first attempt here I’m realizing that I have forgotten to change the length component to eight feet instead of the initial two.

Lots of waste. Increasing the dimension pushed the project out of the “one sheet” realm and into two sheets with a lot of waste.

After some tinkering. I’ve settled on a 48″ long unit. This will allow for one sheet construction.

The next post will regard selection of glass. 48″ is a pretty long span to feel safe with.

Until next time.
