News from the homestead September 29, 2016

Here is a new thing I’m going to start up. Each Thursday I will bring you news and updates from the homestead. I don’t see it being anything long and drawn out, simply a quick how’s it going. To let you see what is going on down here at the micro farm.

The other side of this is I would really like to hear from you. What are your thoughts? What do you think of the blog? Add anything, feel free.

This week we are gearing up for fall and winter. In the past these have been very VERY dormant times here on the blog. This is no longer the case. I’m cracking the whip on myself and will be writing all winter.

I’m switching the focus from a daily rambling type of format to something just a bit more focused and refined. In the coming weeks you will see a number of new series pieces, and themed articles. These are meant to keep me focused and on task.

In the very near future I am hoping to kick the youtube channel into gear and start churning out some content for your enjoyment. The details of that are still on the drawing board but expect to hear more soon.

I’m also looking forward to making strides on the recipe side of the blog during the cold months.
This week on the homestead we are battening down the hatches and getting ready for the cold season. The last of the squash and zucchini have come in, the tomatoes for some reason are still churning out little fruits. The potatoes will be coming out this week and there is a general clean up feeling going around.
Until next time…
