I’m off to NEAR Fest this weekend. This spring is all about getting to know fellow hams. The weather was great, and tomorrow is supposed to be better. We’re expecting some storms coming in tonight.
I’ve taken shelter under some stalls in a barn. Should be good for the night.
Around 3am the wind direction changed. My makeshift pine stakes were not enough. I had to employ the tractor jack as an anchor. After that it was lights out.
Saturday:
Everything is springing back to life. Vendors are cleaning up the extensive mess, and things are springing to life.
There’s something for everyone here. If you’re not a ham I would recommend becoming one. It’s not only a great hobby, it’s a great community.
Back to the real world I suppose. I’ll be back in the fall.
Until next time…
